We are PASSIONATE about our students. We provide tutoring all 7 days of the week. We also provide quizzes and assign homework in order to practice learned skills. Also, we join with their said institution to see them excel in our sessions and in their classrooms.

JJ’s Learning Academy goes outside of the classroom and meeting locations to server our community. We host free workshops for standardized testing and free summer recovery sessions because we are our student’s advocates and the community’s.

SAT/ACT Prep
SAT/ACT Prep: Preparing for college entrance exams can be daunting, but at JJ’s Learning Academy, we offer comprehensive SAT/ACT prep services designed to equip students with the skills and strategies needed to excel. Our expert tutors utilize proven test-taking techniques and provide extensive practice materials to help students familiarize themselves with the format and content of the exams. From mastering critical reading and mathematical concepts to refining essay-writing abilities, we guide students through every step of the preparation process, instilling confidence and maximizing their scores.

EOC Rushhour
In the rush to prepare for End-of-Course (EOC) exams, students often need targeted support to reinforce key concepts and boost their confidence. JJ’s Learning Academy’s EOC Rushhour service offers intensive, focused tutoring sessions aimed at helping students review course material, clarify doubts, and refine test-taking strategies in the lead-up to exams. Our experienced tutors work closely with students to identify areas of weakness and provide targeted instruction to address them, ensuring that students are well-prepared to perform at their best on exam day.

Introducing Our Latest Tutor!
Ms. Patricia (Susan) Grubbs is a native of Barnwell, South Carolina. She is the daughter of the late John Allen (Bubba) Grubbs of Barnwell, South Carolina and Kathryn Bain of Ruffin, South Carolina. Susan is also the mother of Chelsea Grubbs, Lindsay Grubbs Fernandez and Bridgett Grubbs Gunnells. She is a 1990 graduate of Wade Hampton High School where she graduated as an honor student in the top 10% of her graduating class and was a member of the Beta Club and an inducted student of the S.C. Teacher Cadet program which is a college credit program sponsored through the University of South Carolina’s Introduction to Education course. She earned numerous accolades throughout her high school years including ; The National Honor Society, Who’s Who Among American High School Students and The All-American Scholar. She continued her education later in life at the University of South Carolina Salkehatchie campus where she graduated in 2011 with a degree in Education with a major in Spanish as a second language. As a student with the University of South Carolina she was awarded several academic scholarships including the Mature Students Scholarship, the Maggie & David Cannon Scholarship two years in a row, the Harry Lee Foy Sr. Memorial Scholarship, the Miles & Loadholt Endowed Fund Scholarship and the S.C. Life Scholarship. During the 2007-2008 school year she was the only student from Barnwell County who was attending at the USC-Salkehatchie campus who earned the USC President’s honor roll. She also represented the university as the USC Ambassador for the 2008-09 school term and was the secretary of the Education Club. Susan has worked with several school districts including Hampton, Allendale and Barnwell as a Paraprofessional. As a certified Laubach Literacy tutor and a Paraprofessional Educator with extensive knowledge and experience with Individual Education Plans (I.E.P.’s) in the education system she is a well-qualified addition to our staff here at JJ’s Learning Academy.
